This summer was filled with adventures and good times! I went fishing with my friend Jake Rosaeur for two weeks in Cordova, Alaska. After that,a group of five friends including myself, Marae Peltier, Ryan Wolosyn, Liz Meddaugh, and Sam Ricketts, took a trip to the Salmon River in Idaho. We floated for 4 days about 50 miles down river to the James Ranch, located on the scenic and wild section of the river where ryans dad Stan owns and works on the land. We spent the next 10 days working on the ranch and exploring the backcountry of the Salmon River area in Idaho. It was beautiful, with hot springs good weather, fishing and rattlesnakes! After that trip, my brother Ryan Wolosyn and I went to commercial fish in Bristol Bay for 5 weeks, catching Fish and making money! After the five weeks of commercial fishing I got hired to guide a multiday remote fly in rafting and fly fishing trip in Katmai Alaska- Brown Bear CENTRAL! This trip was an amazing adventure with 8 clients and 4 guides including myself. WE caught monster trout, created incredible stories, and saw about 100 grizzlies in 8 days. I tend to make alot of plans for a period of time wit little time in between adventures- so this is why I am finally getting around to posting about it- but it was a pretty incredible summer!
Its been a while-
So.. it has been a while since my last blog post. Besides slaving away trying to finish school I have still been able to get out and find time for some fun! I was able to go with some friends on a multi day trip to Lost Lake, AK. WE snow-machined and found some great snow for skiing! After that Ive been out skiing as much as possible with the limited snow pack, but making the most of it! The views up here in Alaska are postcard worthy every where you turn, and with my favorite pair of alues - it makes the post card views that much better!
Thanks for the good times friends, brothers, and ALUE!
